Two of my watercolour paintings of a Japanese and Chinese temple can be admired this month in an art studio in Rotterdam called City Art by artist Chris Ripken. Putting up the paintings in the studio was a gift from my boyfriend.
City Art was first located at the Insulindeplein in Rotterdam North, with an exhibition space as well. Since last year, this studio has moved to a smaller location at Herlaerstraat 36B. They don’t really show the work of others anymore, but my boyfriend managed to get my paintings exhibited for a month.
Are you curious about the paintings or other art of Chris Ripken? Then take a look at the studio. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to just drop in. You can make an appointment with the owner in advance.
Both paintings were made with watercolour paints and have a matching frame and passe-partout. The frame is handmade and it has museum glass. The paintings are for sale for € 500,- a piece. Please contact me for more information.
Do you want to know how the paintings were created? Take a look at the following posts in my portfolio:
- Japanese temple (replica Byodo-In)
- Chinese temple (Yuantong)
