This hike on the Great rivers trail goes from Kinderdijk to the Loetbos near Lekkerkerk in the Netherlands. I start in Alblasserdam at the windmills of Kinderdijk, then go to Krimpen aan de Lek. I make an extra round trip to the Bakkerswaal duck decoy, go through the Krimpenerwaard and the Krimpenerhout. I end up in the Loetbos.
Today I have yet another plan: to photograph the windmills of Kinderdijk at sunrise. Therefore I decided to walk the part of the Grote Rivierenpad between Hendrik-Ido Ambacht and Kinderdijk in the opposite direction. If the sunrise is disappointing at this time, I have another chance next time. To make the hike a little longer, I also added an extra round trip through the Crezéepolder near Ridderkerk.
