Wooden shoes trails are fun! I’ve already picked out the next one. In this blog just a short description of the trail (a trail shortener 😉), a few photos and a simple sketch to illustrate. No need for a hiking map, the info on the wooden shoes trails website is clear enough. This time a report about the Lint and Linie trail.

Great rivers trail: from Ameide to Vianen – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
After three times hiking on the Migration birds trail in a row, it is now the turn of the Great rivers trail again. The last time, I ended in Ameide. That is therefore my starting point for today. I walk along the river Lek, through the Zouweboezem nature reserve and via Lexmond through the polder to a suburb of Vianen. I pass several fruit orchards and am curious to see whether there is already some blossoms on the trees.
Great rivers trail: from Nieuwpoort to Ameide – ⭐⭐⭐
This is the last hike of 2020 on the Great rivers trail. This part goes from Nieuwpoort to Ameide, with a short extra walk from Schoonhoven due to public transport.
Great rivers trail: from Ammerstol to Nieuwpoort – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This time, the hike of the Great rivers trails starts in Ammerstol and continues along the Lek to Schoonhoven. I make an extra detour through the historic city centre of Schoonhoven and then take the ferry to the other side of the Lek. Finally, I walk along the still intact city ramparts of Nieuwpoort.
Hiking in the Green Heart: Willige Langerak trail – ⭐⭐
