I created this logo for the YouTube channel Dark Heart Soldier. It is a gaming channel meant for Call of Duty games.
The logo design was made with Adobe Illustrator.
Assignment and working method
The assignment was to create a cool and feminine logo for a gaming-YouTube channel, with at least a heart and the colour purple in it.
I started by putting a number of ideas on paper and by sketching them out, for example the associations I have with ‘dark heart’ and ‘soldier’ and the shape of the heart. I put the ideas together in a mood board in Adobe Illustrator. I also collected matching fonts. Then I made three designs and presented them to the client.
After the client selected one of the designs, I made some adjustments based on the client’s wishes.
