This is a painting of the Byodo-In temple in Kahaluu, island O’ahu, Hawaii. This temple is a replica of the Byodo-in temple in Uji, Japan. This is my personal project which I want to expand into a series of temples at different locations around the world.
Details painting
The painting was made with Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolours on Hahnemühle Britannia 300 gram cold pressed paper. The painting itself measures 27,5 x 18,5 cm. The size including frame is 43,5 x 34,5 cm. As a reference I used a photo of Pixabay. On this website you can find many copyright-free photos that you can use as reference material for your own work.
