For four years in a row, I have had the pleasure of creating a digital Christmas card for the company Purive. In the first year, it was still an animation. A year later, it was decided to create only an illustration. And now it has become a regular event for me in November/December to create a nice Christmas illustration.
A buyer of greeting cards from the ColourFlux Shop wanted a larger version of the illustrations of birds with nests for on the wall. After a little check to see if the illustrations were suitable for printing in larger size, I went right to work with them. I was able to make two nice framed prints of the dunnock and chiffchaff with nest.
After having hiked from A to B many times (or back to A), I am now in the mood for a round trip. I still have four trails open from the booklet Hiking in the Green Heart. I choose the Braassem trail near Roelofarendsveen and Rijnsaterwoude in the Netherlands.
After a two-month break, I continued with the long-distance trail Trekvogelpad (Migration birds trail) at the end of February 2021. Via a small detour through Zaanse Schans, I pick up the official trail just outside Wormer. After this I follow the trail through the Engewormer polder, the Jagersveld and the Oostzanerveld to the Twiske nature reserve and recreational area. Halfway through the Twiske, I stop my hike and take the bus back home from Den Ilp.

This illustration of a vase with an autumn bouquet was a commission assignment. It is my very own design. I think it turned out to be a nice illustration, in which I have applied my own illustration style.
